User Experience (UX) Lab
The Informatics Design Labs consist of a Mobile Development lab and a User Experience (UX) lab. They are situated in the Information Technology Building, Level 4, Rooms 4-55 and 4-52 on the University of Pretoria’s Hatfield campus, corner of Lynwood and Roper Streets.
The labs provide our students with a creative space to learn about and experience current trends in technology design. We provide a range of mobile development and human-computer interaction (HCI) related services, specialising in the use of eye tracking technology in usability and user experience design and evaluation. Our team offers a unique combination of practical and theoretical knowledge. Our expertise ranges across various fields including web development, interaction design, systems design and development, cognitive psychology and eLearning. This skill set equips us to execute our design and evaluation projects effectively and judiciously and to offer training programs to a wide audience.
