About the Role
The University of Pretoria’s Centre for the Future of Work is seeking a Senior Lecturer to join its transdisciplinary, research-intensive team. The Centre is dedicated to understanding and shaping the evolution of work across the African continent, bringing together scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and industry partners to interrogate shifting labour dynamics, reimagine organisational design, and advance new approaches to skills and competency development.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving research projects and studies across future of work topics
- Lecturing at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level
- Project management, research strategy, industry and policy engagement, and skills development
- Supervising postgraduate students
- Scientific research and publications in accredited academic journals
- Participation in strategic initiatives related to teaching, research, community engagement, and fundraising
Minimum Requirements
- A doctorate in Industrial Psychology
- At least 3 years relevant tertiary teaching experience and demonstrated industry competence
- At least 2 accredited publications or equivalent recognised scholarly outputs (or appropriate industry experience)
- At least 2 completed Master’s students or involvement with PhD supervision (or appropriate industry experience)
- Evidence of professional engagement
